Upland - Focus on Biodiversity - 2060

Upland Landscape - in 2060 if the focus is on biodiversity:

Land use in the open fields is dominated by lower intensity and conservation based grassland primarily with sheep and cattle. Hay and haylage production provides local overwinter feed and bedding supplies. On south facing slopes alternative crops such as forage maize and vineyards exploit the climate change effects. Hedgerows and tree stands are actively encouraged to mature, enlarge and connect providing a range of environmental benefits across the landscape.
